Brisbane Networking Group Membership Privacy Statement

As part of your application, you will need to read and agree to this Privacy Statement and our Agreement Terms.

Brisbane Networking Group (BNG) is committed to protecting the privacy and security of your personal information.

The personal information you provide may be used by BNG to:

• process your application for membership of BNG;
• record your membership details and profile information;
• manage your membership of BNG;
• ensure you comply as a member with BNG's Terms & Conditions;
• conduct market research in order to identify and analyse the ongoing needs of BNG members;
• provide you with access to and information about a range of current and future membership benefits;
• notify you about BNG events.

The personal information provided by you on the application form will be used to process your membership application and your individual membership to BNG. Failure to provide all of the requested information may result in your application being rejected. You have a right to access and correct any of your personal information that the club and BNG holds about you at any time.
BNG does not usually disclose your personal information to any other organisation or person unless there is a legal requirement to do so. BNG may disclose your information to third parties that provide services under contract to BNG. If you require any further information, please contact BNG.

Agreement

You acknowledge and agree that:

1. You have received a copy of this application.
2. BNG may contact your nominated referees in order to verify the information provided on this application form.
3. You have read and understood the Privacy Statement as set out above and the Privacy Policy on the website and consent to BNG’S use, collection and disclosure of the information in connection with this applicat.
4. You will comply with the Terms & Conditions of membership of BNG and will not:
   1. act in any way which breaches the Terms & Conditions;
   2. abuse or misuse the services accorded to members of BNG by engaging in illegal or fraudulent activities or supplying or attempting to supply false or misleading information, or making a misrepresentation about BNG or its members.
5. The terms and condition of membership of BNG may change from time to time. Changes to the Terms & Conditions will be notified to members by BNG and a copy of the new Terms & Conditions will be on the BNG website.
6. Only one person from each professional category is represented in BNG. Approval of new members and the allocation of professional categories is made at the sole discretion of the BNG Leadership.
7. If a dispute arises in connection with membership, the dispute will be referred to the BNG Leadership for resolution. If the dispute is not resolved within 30 days after the date when notice of the dispute is given to the BNG Leadership, the parties may refer the dispute to a professional mediator.
8. BNG does not endorse the capabilities of professional expertise of any of its members and that the Applicant in choosing to conduct business with or refer clients to any other member of BNG does so at its own risk. BNG expressly denies liability in relation to business conducted or standards as between any of its members.
9. BNG acknowledges that certain laws imply terms, conditions or warranties into contracts for the supply of goods or services that cannot be excluded. Except as provided in any law which cannot lawfully be excluded or modified by agreement, BNG and any of its representatives or agents are not liable for any loss or claim of any kind (including, without limitation, consequential or economic loss or loss of profits) with respect to the breach of any of these Terms & Conditions by any person, or for any death or injury or consequential loss or damage arising from the supply of services, information and other material provided or intended to be provided in connection with BNG. Notwithstanding any other provision of these Terms & Conditions, any liability to you involving BNG, its members, agents and representatives for any cause whatsoever arising from the breach of any conditions or warranties, if any, or membership or participation in BNG or both, and regardless of the form of the action, will to the extent permitted by law be limited to the amount of annual membership dues paid by you for the membership in BNG. Except in jurisdictions where such provisions are restricted, in no event will there be a liability to you or any third party for any indirect, consequential, exemplary, incidental, special or punitive damages.
10. These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Queensland, Australia. By becoming a Member you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland, Australia.
11. If part or all of these Terms & Conditions is illegal, invalid or unenforceable then it will be read down to the extent necessary to ensure that it is not illegal, invalid or unenforceable, but if that is not possible, it will be severed from these Terms & Conditions and the remaining provisions of these Terms & Conditions will continue to have full force and effect.
